Professor Ricky Richardson is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician, who sees patients at The Child and Family Practice, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor. Although a very experienced general paediatrician, he also specialises in assessing and managing children with specific learning and behavioural challenges. Since joining the staff of GOSH in 1978, he now serves as a consultant paediatrician in the Department of Psychological Medicine where he supports the assessment service of children thought to have social and communication difficulties (autism, atypical autism, autistic spectrum disorder and Aspergers syndrome). He also conducts three-clinics per week in the International and Private Patients Unit at GOSH. He has a Visiting Chair in e-Health at Imperial College, London and he is Executive Director of the Global eHealth Foundation working with Archbishop Desmond Tutu as Chairman. He has been on the faculty of The Child and Family Practice since inception and he serves as Medical Director and sits on the Board of Directors.
