Dr McCarthy Woods is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS for 30 years with children, adolescents and adults presenting with a range of emotional psychological issues and learning difficulties. She has worked in various clinical settings (schools, Child Guidance Clinic, GP surgeries, hospitals, community mental health teams, adolescent outreach team). This included working until recently at the Tavistock Clinic, where she was the Lead for the Adolescent and Young Adult Service, covering the 14 to 25-year age range.
She specialising in psychometric, cognitive and educational assessments, for children, adolescents and young adults who may have difficulties with learning and/or specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, or problems with attention, organisation, processing and memory, with her focusing on the 7 to 25-year age range.
In addition, she carries out ADD/ADHD assessments in adults age 18 and older.
