Marianne Rizkallah is a HCPC registered music therapist, director of North London Music Therapy (NLMT), and the Vice Chair of the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT).
Marianne completed her clinical training at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and took further training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Centre. She has significant experience of providing individual and group work, as well as assessments, for children, adolescents and adults. She has worked in the NHS, education and the third sector with patients aged from 1 to 100.
Marianne’s clinical specialisms are anxiety, complex family backgrounds, early trauma and autism. She was one of the leading voices in music therapy drawing up best practice for online working during the pandemic. Marianne was lead author on two BAMT guidance documents for working during COVID-19 implemented in music therapy practices across the UK, Europe, South America and Australasia.
Marianne is a registered clinical supervisor with BAMT, and lectures regularly at the Guildhall School and the Institute for Contemporary Music Performance. She is published in the British Journal of Music Therapy and Approaches Music Therapy Journal. Through NLMT, Marianne provides regular training and CPD for healthcare professionals.
