Marigemma Rocco is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, trained initially as a Clinical Psychologist in Italy, before training as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Anna Freud Centre London.
She has been working In Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for over 25 years, assessing and providing therapeutic interventions and Consultations to children, adolescents and their families. She is currently Lead Clinician of the Emotional wellbeing and Mental Health Service in Basildon and Brentwood, part of NELFT (North East London Foundation Trust). She works in private practice providing court assessments and assessments for local authorities for children and adolescents.
She is working for Placement Support, an adoption agency that provides consultations and interventions to professionals, foster and adoptive families and children in care.
She provides consultations and assessments of infants, children and parents on a Child Protection plan.
She has a special interest in perinatal and infant mental health and early trauma.
She has worked as a parent-infant psychotherapist and as a Professional and Expert Witness on the Family Unit of the Cassel Hospital with parents with a personality disorder alongside their babies and young children.
She speaks English and Italian.
