The Child and Family Practice Charitable Foundation has agreed to set aside some funds to support a new service, the Family Covid Support Service, for families going through stressful times at the moment.

The aim of the service is to offer a few sessions (free of charge, and online in the short-term) to parents and their children who are finding it particularly difficult to manage the anxieties of being in lockdown, or where parents are front-line workers in the NHS, in care homes or elsewhere, and whose children and adolescents are finding this a particularly challenging situation. The support may involve bereavement work, or work around trauma, or help to manage excessive anxiety in children, adolescents and their parents and wider family members.
